Bellevue, WA, May 17, 2010 -- Leah Koenig, MA, Parent Coach,
Child & Family therapist announces the presentation of the Love and Logic®
class: "Early
Childhood Parenting Made Fun!®" for birth to age six. The
class is co-facilitated by Marlon Familton, marriage
counselor and partner at Collaborative Couples and Family
Counseling, LLC in Bellevue WA.
The class will be presented in the conference room at
Collaborative Couples & Family Counseling located at 40 Lake
Bellevue Drive, Ste. 100, Bellevue WA. The class will run
over two Saturdays in June, the 5th and the 19th from 9:00am
to 1:00pm. The cost is $75
for an individual and $130 for a couple.
Love and Logic® is a parenting approach, created in 1977,
that helps parents learn to set limits with their children
in loving ways and thus creates happy families and
responsible kids. Ms. Koenig will cover:
-Handling misbehavior without breaking a sweat
-Teaching kids to listen the first time
-Avoiding power struggles
-Limits for happier parents and happier kids
-What to do when your kids leave you speechless
"As a Parent Coach, we cover lots of ground on the way
toward helping parents move closer to their goals for family
and parenting. Love and Logic is a quick, easy and fun
approach that works," Koenig says. "I think so highly of it
that my coaching clients are invited to attend the class for
free."
“As a marriage therapist I often recommend that couples
consider Love and Logic as a way of having a mutual vision
for their family." Familton says. “Becoming aligned on
parenting can help stabilize a family system, enhance
relationships with kids and give spouses something to focus
on as a mutual goal around which they can support one
another.”
Any parents in the community are welcome to attend. STARS
credits are available for teachers. Questions about the class may be directed to Collaborative
