Bellevue, WA,
August 30, 2010 -- Leah Koenig, PCI Certified Parent Coach® &
Child & Family therapist and the Orange Blossom Society announce
the presentation of a five week Love and Logic® class: "Early
Childhood Parenting Made Fun!®" for birth to age six.
The class will be presented at the Orange Blossom Society’s
facility in Redmond Washington starting Thursday September 16th
for five consecutive Thursdays from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. The cost
is $75 for an individual and $130 for a couple. Enrichment
classes for children ages 18m to six years old are available for
an additional $15 per class.
Parents of young children often find that setting limits and
boundaries can be a difficult challenge. When parents see new
behaviors in their children, they might be unsure which is age
appropriate and which needs more strategic parenting techniques.
With all this going on, instead of raising children being a fun
and rewarding part of life, it becomes exhausting and energy
draining. Using techniques from Love and Logic®, parents can
regain their energy and find that parenting can be a fun and
rewarding part of life.
Love and Logic® is a parenting approach, created in 1977, that
helps parents learn to set limits with their children in loving
ways and thus creates happy families and responsible kids. Ms.
Koenig will cover:
-Handling misbehavior without breaking a sweat
-Teaching kids to listen the first time
-Avoiding power struggles
-Limits for happier parents and happier kids
-What to do when your kids leave you speechless
"I am very excited to partner with the Orange Blossom Society
and offer Love and Logic’s Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun!®
As a Parent Coach I know how helpful it is for parents to have
easy and effective techniques on the tip of their tongue for
managing children’s misbehavior." Koenig says. "The Orange
Blossom Society is a brilliant concept and perfect fit for this
class."
"My ambition is to create an intimate space that is welcoming to
families and good for community building," says Sharman Ghio,
founder of Orange Blossom Society. "I am thrilled to have Leah
Koenig offer classes in Love and Logic. This contributes to my
goal of creating a community for parents to connect, grow and
learn.”
Any parents in the community are welcome to attend. STARS
credits are available for teachers. The Orange Blossom Society
