Leah Koenig, Parent Coach, Becomes a STARS Certified Trainer
Through the Washington Association for the Education of
Young Children (WAEYC)
Bellevue, WA, September 17, 2009 --
Leah Koenig, Parent Coach and Love and Logic® facilitator,
has been approved to provide STARS continuing education
credits for teachers and other child care providers.
Continuing education credits are required for teachers in
Washington State in order for them to maintain their
certification status. Training events must be provided by
STARS Certified Trainers for those credits to be counted by
The Department of Early Learning.
“I am excited to be a STARS certified trainer here in Washington. This means I can bring Love and Logic® not only to parents, but also to teachers and help create a more consistent approach to working with children.” Koenig says. “As a twenty plus year pre-school and elementary Montessori teacher, I know how important teachers are to the child’s developmental system.”
Leah Koenig is a Parent Coach at Collaborative Couples & Family Counseling, LLC, a private counseling practice located in Bellevue Washington. Her practice is focused on helping parents draw out their vision of a happy family life and coaching them toward this goal. She also provides Love and Logic's "Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun!" classes in the local area.
